Solo mode vs facility mode

What unlocks when you run a daycare, boarding or kennel business instead of solo.

Updated Jun 21, 2026

Solo mode and facility mode share the same core — clients, bookings, invoicing and your public page. Facility mode then adds the tools a daycare, boarding or kennel business needs to run a building and a team. Here is exactly what each gives you, so you can pick the right one (and switch later if your business grows).

In a nutshell

  • Both modes include clients & pets, bookings, your booking page, invoicing and report cards.
  • Facility mode adds the facility board, bookable runs, team roles, schedules and the time clock.
  • Your mode is chosen during onboarding by your business type.
  • You can switch later — reach out and we move you over without losing any data.

What every account has

  • Clients and pets, with the secure Vault for sensitive details.
  • Bookings, your calendar and your public booking page.
  • Invoicing and report cards.

What facility mode adds

  • The facility board for daily check-ins, check-outs and capacity.
  • Runs as named, bookable spaces with their own capacity and price.
  • Team roles, schedules and the time clock for managing staff.

Common questions

I'm a solo groomer but might open a daycare — which should I pick?

Pick Solo for now. It has everything one person needs, and switching to facility mode later keeps all your clients, pets and history intact.

Does facility mode cost more?

It is a different plan: Solo is one flat price, while Facilities is seat-based so you pay for the size of your team. See Solo vs Facilities pricing.

Can I use facility mode on my own?

You can, but if you don't have a building or a team, solo mode is usually simpler. The facility tools (board, runs, shifts) shine when you manage space and staff.
