Assigning a walk or visit hands it to the right team member, so it shows up on their own schedule — and only their own work. It's how a busy team divides the day cleanly while keeping each person's view focused and your client list private.
In a nutshell
- Open a booking, pick an assignee, and save — it lands on that person's schedule.
- Staff see only their own assigned bookings across the calendar, Appointments and Today.
- Managers and above see everything.
- Only managers and above can assign bookings.

What each person sees
Staff members see only the bookings assigned to them, across the calendar, the Appointments list and their Today view — so a walker opens the app to their round, not the whole business. Managers and above see everything. For the full role breakdown, see Admin, manager and staff.
Only managers and above can assign bookings (the assign-bookings permission). Staff can't reassign their own work to someone else.
Common questions
Can I reassign a booking to someone else?
Yes. Open the booking and pick a different assignee — it moves to their schedule and off the previous person's. Only managers and above can do this.
What does an unassigned booking look like?
It stays visible to managers and above until someone is assigned. On the facility board, anything without a space shows under To assign so it isn't missed.
Will the assigned teammate be notified?
The booking appears on their schedule and Today view the moment you save, so it's there when they next open Pupline.
